Emily Barnes - Owner

For those of you who don’t know I’m Emily, owner of InStyle! Three years ago I started this business venture with absolutely no idea, starting out in our little space on Lewis street and this year expanding to 10 Lincoln Highway with four very talented Hairdressers working alongside me ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What a crazy ride business is but it’s worth it when you get to do something you absolutely love every single day.

I’ve been with InStyle for a little over 2 years. I’ve been in the industry for 20 years! I did my apprenticeship in the Barossa valley before moving to the city and working on Melbourne street where I really expanded my training and knowledge! and then moving to port Lincoln. Hairdressing isn’t just a job for me it’s my hobby and passion!

I now have 3 little kids so working 2 days a week (Monday Wednesday) at InStyle is perfect for me to be able to do what I love and still be a mum.

Danielle

I have been working out of InStyle Hair for 5 months. I previously owned Hairworx hair & beauty for 5 years and have been in the industry for 12 years. I’m very passionate about all things hair especially all colour services and hair extensions.

Corey

I’m a self taught makeup artist originally from Adelaide. I started learning about makeup 4 years ago and started doing makeup as a side hustle when I moved to Port Lincoln 2 years ago. I am a very creative person so no request is off limits. I love nothing more than seeing someone light up when they see themselves all glammed up and getting to meet so many amazing people along the way is a huge bonus

Kiara

I am a student at saint Joseph’s school who is currently doing a school based apprenticeship. In my spare time I love going to the beach with friends and listening to Taylor Swift. What I enjoy about hairdressing is the creativity and being able to form relationships with the clients. I am looking forward to expanding my skills in the hairdressing industry and learning more about the job. You will see me in the salon on Wednesdays.

I have been in this creative industry for over 30 years and continue to love my work. Seeing the beautiful smiles and happiness I bring to my clients is one of the best things about being a hairdresser. Over the years I have owned a few salons which has been an amazing journey.

When the opportunity came to me over 12 months ago to share the wonderful space at Instyle Hair, I was so excited to join the team. Working as a collective with other highly skilled hairdressers is a fantastic way to always grow and learn together.

Hiya I'm Kelcie

I've just started working at Instyle Pt Lincoln. I have been in the hair industry for 20 yrs, my main role in hairdressing has been a salon co ordinator/managing salons - making sure the day runs smoothly! I've been back on the floor for the last 3 years casually prior to my move to Pt Lincoln. I'll be here helping out Emily and the girls one day a week! Looking forward to meeting you soon!!!
